1. Who We Are
Reflectful is a self-guided journaling and reflection app developed and
operated by Reflectful.

2. Data Stored On Your Device
All of your reflections, entries, and settings are stored locally on your
device.
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Reflectful does not collect personal data or store your journal entries on
external servers.
— Reflections and journal entries are stored only on your device
— No cloud sync unless you explicitly enable it in a future update
— Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently
— No account creation is required to use the app
Important: Because data is stored locally on your device, entries may be permanently lost if the app is deleted, reset, or the device is lost before exporting data. You can export or delete your data at any time.
3. What We Do Not Collect
Reflectful does not collect personal data or store your journal entries on
external servers. Specifically, Reflectful does not collect, store, or
transmit any of the following:
— Names, usernames, or personal identifiers
— Email addresses or phone numbers
— Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
— Advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID, or equivalent)
— Device fingerprints or persistent device identifiers
— Location data
— Third-party tracking SDKs or advertising networks
4. AI Features
Some features (such as the Weekly Digest) use AI to generate a personalised
summary.
AI processing is optional and only used when specific features are enabled by the user.
If Private Insights is enabled, Reflectful may process a sanitised, nonidentifying summary of activity to generate insights. Raw journal entries
and identifiable personal data are not transmitted.
AI responses are generated via a secure API and are not stored or retained after delivery to your device.
We do not share your raw journal content with any third-party AI provider.
5. Third-Party Services
Reflectful uses a minimal set of third-party services solely to operate the app.
These services do not receive your personal data or journal content.
— Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution platform, subject to Apple's and Google's own privacy policies
— App hosting infrastructure — used only to serve static app assets (icons, fonts); no personal data is transmitted
No personal data is shared with any third party for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.
6. Data Retention
Because all data is stored locally on your device, we do not retain any of
your data on our servers.
Your journal entries and settings persist on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app.
Important: Because data is stored locally on your device, entries may be permanently lost if the app is deleted, reset, or the device is lost before exporting data.
7. Data Deletion & User Control
You are in full control of your data at all times. You can export or delete your data at any time.
— Delete individual entries — use the delete function within the app at any time
— Export your data — use the export function within the app before deleting or uninstalling
— Delete all data — uninstall the app from your device; this permanently removes all locally stored data
— Contact us — if you believe any data was collected in error, email
[email protected] and we will respond within 30 days
There is no account to close and no server-side data to request deletion of — because none was ever collected.
8. Children's Privacy
Reflectful requires users to be at least 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Rights
Because Reflectful does not collect personal data, most privacy rights are satisfied by design.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you (we hold none).

Reflectful is a self-guided journaling and reflection tool.
It is designed to help you notice patterns, build awareness, and develop a
personal reflection practice.
It is not a medical device, therapy service, or substitute for professional
mental health care.
2. No Medical or Professional Advice
Reflectful does not provide therapy, diagnosis, counselling, or medical
advice.
All prompts, insights, and content are for personal reflection only.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional support,
please contact a qualified healthcare provider or local emergency services.
3. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for how you interpret and use the app.
Reflectful is a tool — how you engage with it is entirely up to you.
We encourage thoughtful and intentional use.
4. Limitation of Liability
Reflectful is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
We are not responsible for any decisions, actions, or outcomes that result from your use of the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Reflectful's total
liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the
amount you paid for the app (if any).
